I am working on a disclosure for a sub and wanted to know if anyone knew how to calculate the exercisable, end in the disclosure report. Thanks!

Hi Syivia!  In most cases, stock options are only exercisable when they have vested.  However, some companies may allow stock options to be early exercisable in which the employee will receive common stock that is subject to repurchase until vested.

The 'tranches' tab within our Min. Disclosure report lists all vesting tranches across all stock options.  There are many columns with various values but you'd only have to filter through a few.  To calculate the amount of exercisable options at the end of the period, you can sum the values in column outstanding, end while filtering the data each of the following separately:

    1. Stock options (award type) where early exercisable is no and the vest date is on or before the end of the reporting period
      • this will show all outstanding vested stock options
    2. Stock options (award type) where early exercisable is yes
      • this will show all outstanding early exercisable stock options

If you need further assistance, please reach out to us at 718@carta.com and we'd be happy to look into it further.
