Spousal consent signatures through Carta?

Hi there,

I'm preparing for an equity round that will trigger my SAFEs to convert. As part of that process, I need to collect signatures from my stakeholders on their new shareholders agreements. That's easy enough: I believe I can upload the docs, let Carta append a signature page, and send it for stakeholder signature.

But I also need to collect spousal consent documents, which require a signature from a spouse (if applicable), and not just the stakeholder themselves. Is there any way to track this in Carta, or do I need to dispatch all of these via DocuSign and track them separately? Has anyone else tackled the spousal consent contracts issue?

Thanks for reaching out. I'll let others chime in regarding methods to collect spousal consent, but I can confirm that you aren't able to sign a spousal consent directly through Carta.
