Carta automatically sends email updates when important modifications are made to issued securities, but not when stock certificates are cancelled - which is a critical change that should  automatically trigger a shareholder notification. For investors with significant portfolios, it’s hard to stay on top of cap table updates if you don’t  receive a push notification alerting you of a change.
