Shareworks allows the creation of stakeholder groups and then the assignment of specific stakeholders to the appropriate group.
For example, if a VC has invested in my company through three funds (a pretty common situation), I have three stakeholders. But I want to be able to see those holdings aggregated under the VC. This is important whenever I have to think about vote counts.
Another example is a stakeholder who has vested options and stock that has been assigned to a trust. Good to know on a TSO basis how much they've got.
In practice, that means the cap table tabs will have an additional column labeled "Stakeholder Group" or whatever, and I can do excel stuff with that column.
