I received an email to join this but have no idea what it is.  Can someone explain what carta is?

This is our Carta Community platform. Carta is an equity management software used by companies to manage their equity incentive programs, employee option grants, investor relations, and much more. 

If you received an invite to join, you've likely used Carta as an administrator in the past, but if the community isn't applicable to you or your work, no worries, you don't need to participate.
