Hi, My payment was processed last week (according to my bank statement) and on the website it shows that it is still pending. How long does it normally take to process it and move to the next step?

Hi, Yuan. Thanks for reaching out! ACH payments can take a few business days to process depending on whether the transfer is from a personal or business account.

• Personal accounts: Typically take 3 business days (excluding weekends/holidays).
• Business accounts: Typically take 2 business days (excluding weekends/holidays).
• Payments submitted after 3 PM PST or on a weekend/holiday are processed the next business day.

Once the payment successfully clears, funds are transferred to the issuing company via ACH, and the transaction status updates to "Succeeded" at 11 AM PST the following business day. A certificate is then auto-generated and sent to the company signatories.

If it has been more than 3-4 business days since your payment was processed by your bank and it's still showing as pending, it could be due to a mismatch between the name on your bank account and your Carta account or a bank processing delay. If you're unsure, it might be helpful to check with your bank or reach out to Carta Support for further assistance.
