    If you have been wondering where your Expense Accounting or Expense Reporting tool went, this post may help answer some of your questions!


    A Better Financial Reporting Suite


    In order to provide faster financial reporting and deeper integration with the underlying data on your cap table, we've upgraded the Financial Reporting version and have enabled it in most accounts by now. 

    If you are new to the ASC 718 tool, then you were likely set up on the latest version during onboarding. For all veteran subscribers, however, the reporting version that you were familiar with has likely been deprecated, or will be in the near future. Our goal is to have most, if not all, Carta users on the same version of this tool, creating continuity and optimized reporting.


    What's new?


    We've upgraded our reporting suite to reflect the latest accounting guidance to create a faster, more intuitive experience for our users. If our team migrated your company for the update, then we also likely set up a scenario in the new tool to match your original settings from the legacy version. This will help to ensure that the accounting methodology unique to your company is consistent across version updates.
