    We have just closed our seed round (priced), but I'm not sure how to properly set everything up in Carta. Can you please help?

    As requested, here are the steps that you need to take to update the last round:

    1. Upload the amended Articles of Incorporation (AOI). After a financing round, unless you are fundraising under common, you should be creating a new share class, to which there should be a new AOI authorizing the creation of this new share class. To upload this file, please navigate to Company > Library. This support article details how to take this step: Manage your Company Library.

    2. Create a new share class with the details from the AOI: Navigate to Securities > Shares > Manage share classes > Create/edit share class. This is a pretty straightforward process if you have all the information in the AOI. This support article details the process: Tracking Share Class Changes. This one assists with terms and definitions which are important while filling out this section: Share Class Liquidation Preferences.

    3. Update the authorized: The next step is to fill the new share class with its authorized shares. To do so, please navigate to Securities > Shares > Manage share classes > Manage authorized. This support article shows you how this can be done: Tracking, adding, and updating authorized shares.
