    When Carta does a transfer of shares out, are there any fees associated with the transfer?

    What date is used for the transfer? As you can see below, someone is trying to transfer into a TFSA, which uses a transfer date to drive cost basis.

    There are no costs for a Transfer of Assets to another broker. We ask that a ToA form be completed with a wet signature and then sent to us to initiate the process. I've attached the form for your review. On our end we consider the date we send shares to as the transfer date. However this date should not have any impact on cost basis since that is calculated at exercise.
