Carta Onboarding

We've submitted all of our company details and documentation and we're in the review stage of onboarding. I know that once we certify the cap table and other details that electronic certificates will be sent out to all shareholders and investors. Why is this the case? All of these shareholders have previously accepted these certificates, so why do we need to contact them again? 

After you verify your cap table and go live on Carta, all of your company's shares will be electronically issued through Carta to your stakeholders. Although they may have accepted them previously, since they now live in Carta, we require them to be accepted in our system. As an SEC-registered transfer agent, the securities will now be literally digitally held on Carta's platform. However, because all of the information will be verified as the same and accurate, you can also view this step as having your stakeholders accept that the securities are now held digitally.
