Basically, I want to involve a select group of individuals in my company with a modest stake.

My lawyer advises opting for a vesting advisor agreement, however they prefer to invest through SAFEs with very small allocations (e.g., $1k).

Our interactions are pretty standard: facilitating network introductions, exchanging valuable insights, and so forth. These engagements aren't overly time-consuming, which makes the case for considering them as advisors.

Which route would you take?

Hi Rose - it's cool you have a choice w an advisor willing to provide some skin in the game. My opinion would be to go for the SAFE. Bear in mind you may have to agree on discount and cap but seems a win win imo!
