As part of our ongoing effort to help you make the most of the Carta platform, I wanted to share a quick walkthrough on navigating the Board Management feature. This clip is taken from our Learning Lab Webinar Series, designed to give you the tools and knowledge to manage your company's equity and governance more efficiently.
This video covers the steps to add board members and manage their roles. You'll learn the difference between Board Directors (who can sign consents and resolutions) and Board Observers (who can view but not sign). Plus, we'll show you how to set start and end dates for each member's access, ensuring you can manage permissions effectively.
You can also find out how adding a board member affects their permissions in the Companies tab, where they'll have view-only access to cap table reports and board documents.
