What email notifications employees receive from Carta
A question company admins often ask: what will my employees actually receive in their inbox from Carta?
Carta sends employees emails for:
Account verification (when they first register)
Reminders to accept a security or take action on a grant
Notifications about updates — password resets, company name changes, communications sent through Carta
Reminders about upcoming option expirations or vesting events
What Carta will not email employees about
Carta does not communicate sensitive company information — such as a new financing round or account closure — to employees. Those communications are yours to send.
A note on security modifications
Not every change to a security triggers an email to the employee. Before finalizing changes, Carta will tell you whether or not a notification will go out, so there are no surprises.
