New in Cowork: Benchmark queries are now live, interactive artifacts

We just shipped an upgrade to how compensation benchmarks work in Cowork.

What changed: When you run a benchmark query in Cowork (e.g., "Benchmark a Senior 1 engineer at [company]"), you now get a live, interactive panel instead of a static markdown table. From the panel you can:

  • Change the level, location, or peer group directly — no re-prompting needed

  • Watch the data refetch in place

  • Export to Excel in one click

If you're using Claude Code, Claude Desktop, or claude.ai, nothing changes — you'll keep getting the existing markdown table format.

Why it matters: Comp analysis is iterative. You rarely look up one benchmark and stop — you explore across levels, geographies, and peer groups. This turns that workflow into something you can do entirely within one conversation, adjusting on the fly rather than starting over each time.

Try it now:

"Benchmark a Senior 1 engineer at [your company]" — then tweak the level or location right in the panel.
