Fillable Templates for All Security Types + Smarter Field Placement

Fillable templates let you populate agreement documents directly from data already in Carta, rather than re-entering it manually. We've shipped two improvements that close the remaining gaps.

Full coverage: RSUs, SARs, warrants, and convertible notes now support fillable templates, joining option grants, PIUs, RSAs, and CBUs. Every major security type is now covered.

Better placement: Placeholder fields on uploaded documents are now positioned using the document's actual blank space rather than AI-estimated coordinates. The result: roughly 90% fewer incorrect placements, and low-confidence suggestions are surfaced for review rather than silently applied.

Together, these mean fillable templates are both complete in coverage and reliable in practice — the combination that makes the feature genuinely useful across your entire cap table.
