Estimated Value just got a lot more inclusive

Now covering RSU, RSA, and CBU/Phantom holders — not just PIUs.

We're excited to share that Estimated Value has expanded beyond PIUs to support RSU, RSA, and CBU/Phantom equity types. Company admins can now opt in to surface an estimated value for these security types directly in employees' Carta portfolios — giving eligible holders a unified view of what their total equity may be worth.

What's new

Previously, only PIU holders could see an estimated value of their holdings in Carta. With this release, that visibility extends to RSU, RSA, and CBU/Phantom equity — completing full Estimated Value coverage across all major common equity types.

Who this is for

  • Company admins who want to extend equity value visibility to RSU, RSA, or CBU/Phantom holders

  • Employees at participating companies who hold RSU, RSA, or CBU/Phantom equity

What it solves

  • Employees holding RSU, RSA, or CBU/Phantom previously had no way to see an estimated value of their holdings in Carta

  • Companies had no way to extend the transparency benefit of Estimated Value to their broader employee base

  • It rounds out estimated value support across all major common equity types

Key things to know

  • Opt-in required. This feature is not enabled automatically — a company admin must turn it on in Company Settings before it appears for any employees.

  • Admins stay in control. You decide which security types show an estimated value and what inputs are used in the calculations.

  • Where employees see it. Once enabled, eligible employees will see Estimated Value on their Holdings tab in Carta for each activated security type.

Rollout

Available to all companies on June 25, 2026. Visibility is controlled by each company's admin opt-in settings.
