Carta Reporting Skill — your equity data, in plain language
Carta data, filtered your way, merged with anything you bring in, and exported as one live spreadsheet. That's /carta-reporting, now generally available.
What's new
A new skill in the Carta Cap Table plugin lets company admins and law firm users generate and fully customize Carta equity reports using plain language — in Claude or any MCP-compatible AI client. Ask for any of 18 report types (Cap Table, Options Outstanding, Vesting Details, Securities Ledger, and more), shape the output however you need, and pull it straight from Carta's API.
Once a report loads, just ask:
Add, remove, or reorder columns
Apply filters or add computed columns (ownership %, vested ratio, and the like)
Drop in Excel formulas — all through natural language
You can also merge in outside data — PDFs, spreadsheets, or pasted data from any source. In Claude Cowork, it all lives in a single live, interactive artifact you can search and modify in real time. In every client, it exports together as one Excel file: Carta data, external sheets, computed columns, and formulas in one place.
Who it's for
Company admins and firm users who need flexible, filtered reporting — and anyone currently running reports manually in the Carta UI or filing one-off report requests.
Why it matters
One AI-powered surface replaces a backlog of bespoke reporting asks. Reports adapt to what you actually need, instead of what a static template allows.
Getting started
Type /carta-reporting directly in your AI client — it's the most reliable way to invoke the skill. Available now to all Cap Table Plugin users in v6.18.3, no action needed.
