Upload and download firm documents without leaving Claude

Adding a document to your firm's Documents page, or getting one back, used to mean switching over to the Carta web app. With the Carta investor plugin for Claude, you can now do both in the same chat.

• Upload: drop one or more files into Claude and they land on your firm's Documents page

• Each upload goes through Document Intelligence, which classifies the document and pulls out its key terms

• Download: ask for a document by name, type or fund, such as "get me the latest SPA," and Claude finds it for you

• In Claude Code, files save to your Downloads folder. In Cowork and Chat, you get a link to download

• Both actions follow your existing Carta permissions

This applies to firms using the Carta investor plugin for Claude.
