How does Carta track which LPs have paid their capital call?

We just sent our first capital call and I'm trying to figure out how to track payments. Does Carta update LP payment status automatically when funds come in, or does someone need to manually mark them as paid? We're using our own bank account rather than Column, so I'm wondering how that changes things.
