What changed on the cap table since last quarter

What I did: Board meeting coming up. Instead of manually comparing two cap table exports, I asked Claude to surface what actually changed.

The prompt I used:

Compare [Company Name]'s cap table between [date 1] and [date 2]. What securities were issued, cancelled, transferred, or exercised during that period?

How it works: Looks at all equity activity between two dates and categorizes what happened — new issuances, cancellations, exercises, and transfers. The most direct way to build a quarterly equity activity summary for a board packet or to support a 409A refresh.

Result: A clear list of every cap table change in the quarter — formatted so it could go straight into the board deck with minimal editing.
